While many think of Thanksgiving as the 'dress-rehearsal' for the
Yuletide period, most Americans view it as just important as
Christmas. In fact, more Americans celebrate Thanksgiving than they do
Christmas. However you look at it, it's an excuse to stop and enjoy a
slap up -meal with loved ones.
The celebration which can be traced back to 1621 (when the Pilgrims
invited the local Native Americans to a harvest meal) did not
originally include turkey. More likely, a three day blow out on goose,
lobster, cod and deer. At Once Milano, we like nothing more than
cooking up a feast, bringing family and friends together to indulge in
delicious food, fine wine and good cheer.
Naturally, how our table looks is just as important. Whether you plump for place mats in autumnal shades of spice or russet, or napkins in understated neutrals you will find 'dressing' your table proves just as fun.
